Job Description

Big Rock Elementary Cook•Chesaning Union Schools 920 E Broad St, Chesaning, MI 48616 From $15 an hour•Part-time From $15 an hour•
Part-time Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or
G.E.D. 2.
Must be Serve Safe certified and have attended a course in Basic Foods through SNA or satisfy these requirements within the school year. 3. Experience working with young children. 4. Basic understanding of student discipline as well as current first aid training or willingness to receive training. 5. Effective communication skills; both verbal and written. 6. Good general physical health & ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. 7. Testing may be required. All tests must be passed by at least 70% to ensure a position with Nutritional Services. 8. Experience in quantity food preparation and cashiering preferred or demonstration of good skills in quality food preparation and mathematics. 9. Must be willing to complete a physical.
Job Duties:
1. To assist in the preparation and serving of nutritious meals to students, staff, and community in a pleasant atmosphere. 2. To assist in ordering, recording keeping, monetary and clerical tasks. 3. All other duties as assigned by the Building Principal, Finance Director, or Superintendent.
Salary:
In accordance with the Master Agreement.
Position Length:
9:30 a.m.•1:30 p.m. on all scheduled student days. Times may be adjusted.
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour
