Full Job Description Cook Location:

Hamilton Nursing and Rehab, Detroit, MI Position Type:

Full-Time and Part-Time Hamilton Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team and contribute to providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents. In this role, you will assist with meal preparation, cooking, and presentation following established menus and portion control guidelines.

Shifts Available:

Part-Time 20 Hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve all meals according to the menu and dietary requirements. Coordinate food production to align with scheduled meal serving hours. Memorize, record, and understand menu items, portion sizes, and plate presentations. Follow standard recipes and accommodate special dietary needs. Safely operate and maintain standard kitchen equipment. Adhere to sanitation and food safety codes. Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

One (1) year of experience in dining services, preferably in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical environment.

Preferred:

Culinary school training. Must be 18 years or older to apply.
