This is the Chef making this post. The job is straight forward, we make tacos, quesadillas, burritos, chicken sandwiches, etc. We are a scratch kitchen. everything we make we build the flavor from the ground up. I understand the way the economy is. I don't have the hours to offer full time. but, this is a good second job. 4:30 - 9:30 shift. 3-5 days a week, depending on your availability. I'm offering $16 an hour to those with no experience that are teachable. up to $18 if you have experience and work hard. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Cook and plate food items efficiently, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, dating, and portioning to minimize waste Support catering events and special functions with timely meal preparation and service Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service Experience If you work and stay off your phone, talk to me, 313-978-9044 Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Hands-on experience in a restaurant or food service environment demonstrating strong kitchen skills is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling procedures, knife skills, and meal preparation techniques. (preferred not required) Familiarity with food safety protocols, and catering operations Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Culinary experience that showcases proficiency in cooking techniques and food presentation (preferred) Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude towards serving guests and supporting team members (don't be a dick)
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
