Trained caregivers are available 24/7 for individuals needing assistance with activities of daily living. Services are customized to the needs of each individual resident, ensuring comfort and peace of mind. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook/Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a healthcare or hospitality setting. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and appealing meals that meet residents' dietary needs while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist in menu planning by contributing ideas that cater to residents' nutritional requirements and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation standards. Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure safety. Support catering services for special events or group dining needs, providing timely and efficient meal service. Collaborate with dietary aides and kitchen staff to ensure smooth meal preparation and delivery processes. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages or issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or healthcare environment. Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques. Knowledge of dietary department practices, including special diets and menu planning for diverse nutritional needs. Experience with food handling safety protocols and maintaining compliance with health regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with catering operations and serving large groups is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to foster collaboration among staff members.
