  • We are seeking a compassionate cook for our seniors.
Summit Park is a long-term care facility which serves three meals a day, so experience in breakfast, lunch, and dinner is preferred. Part time is available for the evening shift.
Some other cook responsibilities include:
Pulls items from freezer. Converts recipes and batch cook, pans labeled and placed in the freezer or refrigerator. Ensures timely production of food for each meal service. Follows recipes and standards. Make changes if needed. Follows daily pull sheets and updates as needed. Seasonal work to include but not limited to gardening, grilling, shoveling and salting. Plans and prepares the order for the next week's menu with or without the dietary manager. Checks in orders as they arrive including main food order, produce order and milk order. Placing of the food orders with or without dietary manager. Ensures that the staff prepares food using sanitary and proper food preparation techniques and standards including proper food serving temperatures. Ensures that the staff follow all HACCP standards. Participates in staff meetings. Ensures that staff understand and adhere to corporate standards of conduct and job performance. Ensures that the kitchen is cleaned daily according to the established cleaning schedule for the kitchen area including equipment. Ensures that the equipment is in good working order and is turned off at the end of each day. Make sure all doors are locked at the end of shift. Plans the day-to-day schedule of what and how much needs to be cooked. Completes daily production records for accuracy and timeliness. Works on the next day's production.
