Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Short Order Cook, where your passion for food and quick service will shine! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious, high-quality meals efficiently and accurately. Your expertise in food handling, menu planning, and kitchen operations will ensure our guests enjoy timely, satisfying dishes in a lively environment. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of short order dishes with precision, speed, and consistency to meet customer expectations Follow established recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards to ensure quality and efficiency Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including food prep stations and cooking equipment Handle food safely by adhering to proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations Assist with menu planning by suggesting daily specials or modifications based on ingredient availability and customer preferences Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service in a fast-paced environment Ensure all food is prepared according to safety standards, including proper knife skills and cooking techniques Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, preferably with fine dining or catering backgrounds Strong culinary experience with proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety Knowledge of menu planning and meal preparation processes to support kitchen operations effectively Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus, demonstrating attention to special dietary needs Skilled in using kitchen tools such as knives safely and efficiently Familiarity with food service procedures including serving guests promptly and courteously Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Join us if you're passionate about creating delicious meals with energy and precision!
