In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen, preparing ingredients, assisting with meal assembly, and ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of freshness and flavor. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and portioning according to recipes and standards Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling side dishes, meats and desserts Support the cooking team by ensuring all food is cooked properly and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations and storage areas Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene compliance Help with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supplies needed Support catering events and special functions by preparing ingredients or assisting with setup as needed Qualifications Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred Previous food industry or restaurant experience demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic food preparation techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward serving others Basic understanding of menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations Join us as a Prep Cook and become an essential part of creating delicious meals that delight our guests!
