Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Prep Cook, where your enthusiasm for food and dedication to quality will help set the foundation for exceptional dining experiences. In this vital role, you will assist in preparing ingredients, organizing kitchen stations, and supporting the culinary staff to ensure smooth and efficient meal service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring according to recipes and menu specifications Assist with food preparation tasks such as portioning, assembling dishes, and setting up cooking stations Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, including storage spaces and utensils Follow food safety protocols and proper handling procedures to ensure hygiene standards are met at all times Support the culinary team during meal service by restocking supplies and ensuring timely preparation of dishes Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, and other prep tools Assist with catering setups and special event preparations as needed Skills Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or food service environments Knowledge of menu planning, meal assembly, and portion control techniques Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices in commercial kitchens Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-pressure setting while maintaining attention to detail Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions diligently Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a real difference!
