Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook, where your passion for food and dedication to excellence will shine! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to perfection, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment. Your culinary skills will help deliver memorable dining experiences by adhering to recipes, safety standards, and food handling protocols. Duties Prepare ingredients through slicing, dicing, and portioning to meet recipe specifications using proper knife skills and slicing techniques. Cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and adherence to established recipes and presentation standards. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors safely and efficiently. Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients needed for daily specials or catering events. Maintain cleanliness of workstations by following strict cleaning schedules and safety standards in production areas. Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques and managing food safety standards in accordance with health regulations. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during busy hours. Qualifications (preferred but not required) Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus. Demonstrated ability in food preparation, cooking, and food industry operations. Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning. Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and food safety management practices. Experience with recipe adherence, meal preparation, and catering operations is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen staff and team members.
