Job Description
Position Summary Looking for 6:00 am - 2:00 pm Shift We are looking for a cook that has experience cooking from scratch, can multi task and can follow a standardized recipe. Needs to be comfortable working as part of a team as well as alone occasionally. The cook plans, coordinates and implements kitchen operational practices in accordance with state and federal health regulations. Qualifications Appropriate formal culinary training, and or equivalent experience. ServSafe certified or licensed CFPM. Job Functions Prepares one to three full meals a day being mindful of resident requests & preferences. Responsible for safety and health standard compliance. Snack preparation for daily afternoon and evening snacks as well as for activity requests. Bakes desserts and items for specific events. Completes prep work for the next shift. Assures duties of Dietary Aide are completed. Works as a team member with all staff. Helps other staff as needed. Maintains an overall congenial work relationship with other staff, residents and guests. Works in cooperation with Kitchen manager to maintain inventory, rotate supplies, and obtain new stock. All other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager, Director and/or Owner. Starting wage dependent upon qualifications and experience.
