Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist with menu planning by preparing components needed for daily specials and regular offerings. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food handling and safety protocols. Support kitchen operations by cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes efficiently during service hours. Handle food with care, following proper food safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure freshness. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and excellent food service for guests. Experience Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with meal preparation in a healthcare or similar setting. Experience working in a restaurant or food service environment, showcasing strong kitchen skills including knife techniques and food handling. Culinary experience with a focus on food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly is preferred. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food presentation and safety protocols. Strong understanding of the food industry standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and customer service is essential.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
