Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated PM Weekend Cook to join our culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, nutritious meals during weekend afternoons, ensuring that all food service standards are met with enthusiasm and precision. Your culinary expertise will help create a warm, welcoming environment where residents and guests enjoy high-quality dining experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your kitchen skills while contributing to a vibrant community atmosphere. Duties Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist with menu planning by suggesting creative dishes that meet nutritional and dietary requirements. Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients efficiently and safely. Maintain strict food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures. Support the dietary department by assisting with meal service, plating, and presentation to enhance the dining experience. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal delivery during weekend shifts, managing multiple tasks seamlessly. Keep the kitchen clean and organized by following sanitation protocols and properly storing all ingredients and utensils. Experience Previous dietary aide or dietary department experience preferred, with a solid understanding of special dietary needs. Experience in food preparation, cooking, or fine dining environments that emphasize quality presentation. Background in restaurant or food service industries demonstrating strong food handling and kitchen skills. Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation techniques, and catering operations is highly desirable. Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper knife skills to ensure efficient and safe food prep. Prior experience working in the food industry or culinary settings that require attention to detail and excellent time management.
