This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position that comes with a generous benefits' package. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' cooking experience. This position ensures the efficient operation of the kitchen and dining area, preparation and serving of meals, and clean-up of kitchen and dining area. Essential Functions Provides oversight of daily kitchen / food storage operation. Assist FSD in food ordering, and departmental work orders / requisitions. Assist FSD in establishing and maintaining a cost control/inventory system. Assist FSD to make work assignments to kitchen staff and volunteers . Prepare and serve food. Comply with state health regulations in the operation of the kitchen, including maintenance of proper sanitation by wearing plastic gloves, hair nets, and aprons. Sanitize all cooking utensils. Ensure dining room is set up and tables and floors are clean before and after meals. Keep kitchen refrigerators, walk-in refrigerator, freezer, and all drawers and cabinets countertops, equipment and floors clean and organized at all times. Keep all foods in the refrigerators labeled with date and contents. The full job description will be provided to candidates selected for the interview process. Physical and Working Conditions Must be capable of performing the above essential duties. Capable of frequently lifting 25 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Will occasionally move 50 or more pounds using dolly/cart/truck. Most work will be indoors in a temperature control environment; however, in the kitchen it will get above 80 degrees at times and cold in the walk-in refrigerator/freezer.
