The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen by assisting in the preparation of high-quality meals and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in meal preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas, adhering to food safety regulations. Support the head cook or chef in menu planning and execution of daily specials. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, and ovens. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Requirements Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role within the restaurant or food industry is preferred. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
