• Part-time, Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. The Line Cook/Prep Cook will work closely with the kitchen staff to create delicious meals that meet our restaurant's standards. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces. Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during peak hours. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils. Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing ones. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to the supervisor. Support the Dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs when required. Requirements Previous experience in food service or as a cook in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred. Knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and sanitation practices is essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. A passion for cooking and a desire to learn more about menu planning and culinary techniques.
