Lead Cook / Kitchen Supervisor Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Cook / Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality food services. This role involves managing food preparation, cooking, inventory, and maintaining food safety standards. Working directly with the General Manager to maintain standards and inventory. Duties Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards Implement and monitor food safety sanitizing procedures in compliance with health regulations Light ordering and receiving Prepare a variety of menu items with attention to presentation and taste Ensure all kitchen activities adhere to safety guidelines and sanitation protocols Train and mentor kitchen staff on best practices, including proper food handling and safety procedures Collaborate with management to develop menus and improve kitchen efficiency Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen environment, including sanitizing workstations and equipment Skills Experience in breakfast and lunch cooking Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitizing procedures Inventory management skills to track supplies and minimize waste Leadership abilities with experience supervising kitchen staff Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Good communication skills for effective team coordination Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs We are a small family owned and operated restaurant looking for someone to join our team!
Pay:
$19.50 - $23.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
