Job Description
East Missouri Action Agency is seeking a Part-Time Cook Aide at the Farmington Senior Center. The Farmington Senior Center provides a range of services, programs and social activities specifically designed for older adults. Our primary goal is to support seniors in maintaining independence, health and social engagement. Join our team and help lead a vibrant, welcoming space where seniors can thrive! This position works in the kitchen and dining room of the Farmington OAKS Senior Center. The incumbent will assist with food preparation, serving food, setting tables, operating kitchen equipment, cleaning and helping with other kitchen duties as assigned (including Head Cook duties when necessary). Applicant must be 18 or older. This position requires standing during the entire shift with frequent reaching, bending, stooping, lifting, shaking, pouring, carrying and pushing. Hand/eye coordination is essential as well as the ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds easily. Must be able to work around moderate to loud noise and be able to work early mornings when needed. Good attendance is required as well as maintaining pleasant relationships with clients and staff. This is a part-time position that works 25 hours/week (Monday - Friday).
