Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with experience in fast paced food service environments and catering. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests. The Line Cook/Prep Cook will work closely with the kitchen staff to prepare ingredients, maintain food safety standards, and assist in catering events as needed. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards. Assist in meal preparation for catering events and daily service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. Ensure all food safety protocols are followed, including proper storage and handling of ingredients. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels. Participate in menu planning and development as needed. Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs when necessary. Requirements Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food preparation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in food presentation. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques and cuisines.
