Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Bistro/Banquet Cook, where your passion for food and excellence will shine! Your culinary skills will help create memorable dining experiences, ensuring every plate meets our standards of flavor, presentation, and safety. Tip/Service Charge Sharing As part of the salary, sharing in tips in the Bistro and service charges in banquets can significantly increase your average hourly rate! Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for both bistro service and banquet events, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate Assist with menu planning by executing recipes accurately and providing input on dish presentation and ingredient selection Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, marinating, and assembling ingredients to streamline kitchen operations Maintain strict food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures, sanitation guidelines, and storage protocols Support catering functions by setting up food stations, serving guests during events, and ensuring timely delivery of meals Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation during busy service times while maintaining a clean and organized workspace Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and assisting colleagues as needed to meet service goals Skills Proven experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles, demonstrating knowledge of special dietary needs and accommodations Strong background in food industry settings such as restaurants or catering services with banquets experience preferred. Excellent food preparation skills including cooking techniques, knife skills, and meal assembly Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling, storing, and serving food safely Ability to plan menus collaboratively with the culinary team while considering nutritional value and presentation aesthetics Experience in food service operations with a focus on quality control and customer satisfaction Skilled in catering setup, serving guests efficiently during events, and managing multiple tasks under pressure Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
