Overview Join our dynamic team as a Prep Cook/Plant Worker and become a vital part of our food production and culinary operations! In this energetic role, you will assist with food preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the overall workflow in our kitchen or plant environment. Whether you have prior dietary department experience or are eager to learn, this role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about food service and teamwork. Duties Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly according to established recipes Handle food safely by following proper sanitation, storage, and handling procedures Support kitchen operations by chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients with precision using knife skills Assist with food production tasks such as cooking, and packaging meals for service or distribution Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils to uphold hygiene standards Support demo events or special meal preparations as needed Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels Ability to lift boxes for distribution up to 30 lbs Able to stand on your feet for long periods of time Skills Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures Experience with menu planning and meal preparation in a fast-paced environment Skilled in cooking techniques suitable for large-scale food production or restaurant settings Excellent knife skills and proficiency in basic culinary tasks Familiarity with food service operations, including serving and meal distribution Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy kitchen or plant environment This role is paid and offers a fulfilling opportunity to grow within the food industry while making a positive impact on our community's well-being.
