Line Cook —
Buffalo Wild Wings Position Summary:
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to Buffalo Wild Wings' recipes, quality standards, and food-safety procedures. The Line Cook works as part of the kitchen team to ensure orders are prepared accurately, efficiently, and consistently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and procedures. Properly portion, season, cook, and plate food items. Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely. Maintain proper food temperatures and follow food-safety and sanitation standards. Prepare ingredients and maintain adequate stock throughout the shift. Read and accurately prepare orders from kitchen tickets or the restaurant's ordering system. Communicate effectively with other kitchen team members and front-of-house staff. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation. Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, and rotation procedures. Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties. Complete cleaning and sanitation tasks as assigned. Work efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining food quality and accuracy. Follow company policies, procedures, and applicable health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred but not always required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties. Ability to work as part of a team. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food-safety procedures. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
