Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meal preparation in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our dietary department meets the nutritional needs of our clients while adhering to food safety standards. Duties Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, following food safety protocols. Assist in menu planning and meal preparation for various dietary needs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of dietary requirements. Experience Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred. Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities and knowledge of meal preparation techniques is an asset. Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting while maintaining individual accountability. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, especially regarding food presentation and safety.
