Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to standardized recipes and menu specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, slicers, mixers, and other culinary tools Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards Assist in meal preparation for both daily service and catering events, ensuring timely delivery Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and address any issues promptly Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality in all food items prepared Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Qualifications Previous experience in a food service environment, including restaurant or catering settings Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient prep Familiarity with food safety management protocols and safety standards in production Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen team members Experience operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to recipe adherence and meal presentation excellence
