Duties Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties Check in orders and organize coolers using FIFO Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetable's , cutting meat etc. Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc. Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc. Ensure all food and other items are stored properly Perform all other kitchen duties as assigned Requirements One year experience as prep/pantry cook required Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within restaurants or the food industry. Strong knife skills and able to operate kitchen appliances, cutting tools and kitchen utensils Knowledge of health and food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately and stay positive under pressure Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
