Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, providing high-quality meals to our guests. The prep cook is responsible for preparing a variety of menu dishes and other menu items in accordance with the restaurant's standards and guest preferences. This role requires excellent line prep skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant setting, and possess a strong understanding of meal preparation and food handling practices. You will play a vital role in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation :
Practices positive personal hygiene and cleanliness habits during all shifts. Preps food to ensure that all items are prepared according to company specifications, recipes, procedures, plate presentation and quality standards. Ensures our guests have a superior dining experience by correctly timing and preparing food product. Checks, prior to the start of the shift the salad and wrap ingredients. Correctly prepares vegetables for salads; portions and plates salads as well as chicken wraps, burgers and other menu items. Ensures our guests have a superior dining experience by correctly timing and preparing all food product. Correctly completes all station closing duties at the end of each shift.
Timing:
Reports to work on time.

Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure that menu items are prepared and served in a timely manner, maintaining food quality and minimizing wait times for guests.
Sanitation:
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized work station and kitchen area. Regularly clean and maintain the prep room.
Menu Knowledge:
Familiarize oneself with the restaurant's menu items, including any daily specials.
Teamwork:
Collaborate with other members of the kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of food preparation and service.
Adaptability:
Be flexible and willing to perform other kitchen duties as needed, such as assisting with the grill or washing dishes. Accomplishes all job duties while adhering to all safety guidelines and practices throughout the shift.
Requirements:
Culinary Skills :
Strong preparation skills are essential. Prior experience as a grill cook or line cook is required.
Food Safety Knowledge :
Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations is crucial to ensure food quality and guest safety.
Physical Endurance:
The ability to stand for extended periods, work in a hot kitchen environment, and lift heavy pots and pans is necessary. Attention to

Pep cooks must be detail-oriented, ensuring that each dish is prepared to perfection and consistently meets quality standards.
Communication Skills :
Effective communication with team members is important.
