Job Description

Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and utensils Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Maintain cleanliness of work stations, utensils, and kitchen areas to uphold health standards Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service Adhere strictly to recipe specifications and portion control to ensure consistency across all dishes Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred Demonstrated culinary skills including knife techniques, slicing methods, and cooking methods Familiarity with food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment such as fryers, ovens, mixers, and slicers Knowledge of dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus Strong communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen team members Background in food industry roles involving meal preparation, catering, or food handling demonstrates readiness for this position
Pay:
$12.00 - $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 12.0 per week
