The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role is essential for ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and food safety. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans. Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed during food preparation and service. Assist in menu planning, including the selection of seasonal ingredients and catering options. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Experience Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in food service or catering environments. Familiarity with fine dining standards is a plus. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independent initiative. Proficient knife skills and experience with various cooking techniques are essential. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to create exceptional dining experiences for guests.
