Cook Albion, NE $18.15-$22.69/hour Full-Time | Temporary (6-12 Weeks)
Day Shift:
6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Do you enjoy cooking and take pride in preparing quality meals? We're hiring a Cook for a temporary full-time opportunity at a local hospital in Albion. This position is covering a medical leave of absence and is expected to last approximately 6-12 weeks making it a great opportunity to gain healthcare food service experience while working with a supportive team. What You'll Do Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner for patients, staff and visitors Prepare food according to recipes, menus and dietary requirements Assist with meal tray preparation and delivery Follow food safety, sanitation and infection control guidelines Take and record food temperatures Complete food prep, kitchen cleaning and dishwashing duties Assist with inventory, stocking and maintaining a clean kitchen Work closely with Dietary Aides and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors and coworkers What We're Looking For Previous food preparation or commercial kitchen experience preferred Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Reliable with excellent communication skills Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to follow recipes and prepare meals accurately Must be at least 18 years old Schedule 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Full-time Every other Saturday and Sunday Additional weekday shifts (typically Thursdays and Fridays) may be available based on scheduling needs Pay $18.15-$22.69 per hour This is a temporary position covering a medical leave of absence anticipated to last approximately 6-12 weeks (through September or mid-October, depending on the employee's return).
