•PAY
IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE
•Provide quality & consistent performance in the following areas: Food preparation that results in high quality of taste and appearance in efficient time to satisfy guests and maximize food revenue. Perform safe handling of food and proper food storage and rotation. Effective time management and complete daily check list along with other requested duties per F & B Director. Duties and Responsibilities PEOPLE Effective team work and delegation of duties to dishwashers and prep cook, keeping communication professional and positive at all times. Maintain your knowledge of state and local safety and Department of HHS regulations to ensure compliance. Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
GUEST EXPERIENCE
Ensure all food and beverage equipment are used correctly and are in proper operational condition Prepare meals in accordance with the portion and quality standards specified in recipes or as otherwise designated by servers within policy standards. Prepare meals in a timely fashion to ensure guest satisfaction and maximize revenue. Alert Food & Beverage Director of any service and/or safety issues.
RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS
Perform side-work, and any other opening or closing duties as required. Ensure that the food prep areas are clean and maintained throughout shift.
ACCOUNTABILITY
This is a top line food job in a full-service hotel.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Minimum:
Food service experience with general knowledge of restaurant operations. Must speak fluent English. Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card, as required by local law. Ability to work independently. Carrying or lifting items weighing in excess of 50 pounds Handling objects; plates, pots, knives, etc. in large quantities Bending, stooping, kneeling and being on your feet for at least 6 hours straight Knowledge of the following equipment: Flat top, Grill, Broiler, Fryer, Steamer, Alto Shaam Capable of preparing sauces, soups and menu items from recipes High communication skills with wait staff and manager on duty
