Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal service efficiently during busy hours Handle food handling responsibilities responsibly, including proper storage, labeling, and inventory management Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Ensure all dishes are served promptly and meet the restaurant's high standards for taste and presentation Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related role within the food industry or restaurant setting Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures Previous experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
