This pivotal role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. As a leader in the kitchen, you will inspire and guide team members to deliver exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. Your culinary expertise and passion for food preparation will help elevate our menu offerings and maintain our reputation for excellence. Duties Lead and supervise the line cooks during service, ensuring timely and efficient meal preparation. Oversee food handling, preparation, and cooking processes to meet safety standards and quality expectations. Assist in menu planning by developing innovative dishes that align with restaurant themes and customer preferences. Ensure all food industry regulations are followed, including proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices. Train new team members on kitchen procedures, knife skills, food presentation, and proper use of equipment. Coordinate with dietary department and dietary aides to accommodate special dietary needs and meal modifications. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, manage inventory levels, and order supplies as needed for smooth kitchen operations. Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality standards. Foster a positive team environment by motivating staff, managing conflicts, and promoting professional growth. Qualifications Proven experience in restaurant kitchens with a focus on fine dining or high-end establishments. Strong culinary experience with excellent knife skills and food preparation techniques. Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus. Demonstrated ability in menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations. Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures. Prior leadership experience as a line cook or kitchen supervisor preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and mentor team members effectively. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
