On Call Prep Cook Morristown, NJ Description:
SAGE Dining Services® is seeking a reliable On-Call Prep Cook for a beautiful private school in Morristown, NJ. Prepare fresh ingredients for daily meals and special events Complete vegetable, meat, and other food prep with care and attention to detail Use good knife skills and follow recipes and production guidelines Help keep the kitchen stocked, organized, and ready for service Work closely with the culinary team in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen Follow all food safety, sanitation, and SAGE standards Pick up flexible on-call shifts based on your availability Great opportunity for a cook looking for extra hours and flexibility Beautiful private school setting with a professional and welcoming team Prior kitchen or prep experience preferred Must be dependable, hardworking, and able to work well with others If you're a dependable prep cook who wants flexibility without the late-night restaurant schedule, we'd love to have you join our team!
Schedule:
We are open seven days a week from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. The ideal candidate has a flexible schedule and open availability.
Transportation:
Free on-campus parking is available. This location is not accessible by public transportation; successful candidates must have reliable transportation.
Pay Type:
$20.00 - $22.00

Mission based company with values you trust. What you'll do: Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing. Interact cheerfully with SAGE guests and Team Members and provide service with a smile. Prepare assigned menu items in strict accordance with SAGE recipes. Clean, restock, and replenish serving lines and stations to ensure our guests enjoy amazing dining experiences. Clean all work areas and customer service areas on an ongoing basis. Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques always (HACCP). Assist in training new culinary Team Members. Endure exposure to extreme temperatures; intense heat and freezing cold. Adapt to additional duties as assigned by management. What you'll need: Experience as a Prep Cook or Cook preferred, but not required. Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail. Ability to properly set up a buffet or serving station. Experience in customer service strongly preferred, but not required.
