Job Overview Join our team as a Prep Cook and be the backbone of our kitchen operations! In this energetic role, you will prepare ingredients, assist with food assembly, and ensure that every dish meets our high standards of quality and safety. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and culinary excellence will help create a vibrant dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring to support the cooking team Assist in assembling dishes according to menu specifications and presentation standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations Support the cooking team by managing basic food preparation tasks and cooking techniques Handle food items safely, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supplies needed Contribute to a positive kitchen atmosphere by working efficiently and communicating effectively with team members Skills Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with specialized meal prep requirements Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant experience that highlights your culinary skills Experience working with Toast POS/Kitchen Prep Systems Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques Excellent knife skills and proficiency in dressing the dishes and plating food Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced kitchen environment Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and food service operations enhances your versatility Solid understanding of kitchen equipment use and maintenance within the food industry We value energetic team players who are eager to learn, grow their kitchen expertise, and deliver exceptional dining experiences every day.
Pay:
$18.00 - $18.50 per hour
