Pay:

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Otero County Processing Center in Chaparral, New Mexico. We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping non-citizens gain valuable skills and treatment necessary for success upon release. What you'll do: You'll be responsible for the preparation of facility meals based on pre-planned menus.
Essential Functions:
Prepare and cook quantity of food required according to menu and number of detainees. Maintain kitchen equipment in orderly working condition; ensure work area is safe, clean, and sanitary at all times. Prepare food as directed for special facility functions, visitors, and special diets. Assist in cleaning kitchen work areas following each meal. Assist in the supervision of detainees assigned to assist in the cafeteria.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Food service training, one (1) year of food service or related experience and prior supervisory experience preferred. Valid food handler's permit from the state of New Mexico required. Valid driver's license in the state of New Mexico or the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
