Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead to oversee our culinary team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, with hands-on experience in food preparation, menu planning, and fine dining service. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to ensure high standards of food quality and safety while fostering a collaborative kitchen atmosphere. Duties Lead and manage the dietary department, ensuring efficient operation and adherence to food safety standards. Oversee menu planning and meal preparation, tailoring offerings to meet dietary needs and preferences. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training on food handling, cooking techniques, and best practices in food service. Ensure all food is prepared according to established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health regulations and safety protocols. Collaborate with catering teams for special events, ensuring exceptional service delivery. Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation while teaching these skills to team members. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Experience Proven experience in a culinary leadership role within the food service or restaurant industry. Strong background in dietary aide responsibilities or similar roles within a dietary department. Experience in fine dining settings with an emphasis on high-quality meal preparation and presentation. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in handling food products. Demonstrated ability in menu planning and catering services is highly desirable.
