Duties Assist with menu planning to ensure balanced, appealing, and nutritious meal options for all clients or residents Prepare and cook a variety of meals following established recipes and dietary guidelines Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures Support food service operations by serving meals efficiently and courteously to residents or customers Contribute to food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and plating dishes with precision and care Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and dining areas in compliance with health regulations Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal delivery and exceptional dining experiences Apply culinary skills such as knife techniques and cooking methods to produce high-quality dishes Assist with catering events or special meal services as needed Follow all safety protocols related to food industry standards and kitchen operations Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred Strong background in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food service environments Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures within the food industry Experience with kitchen equipment, knife skills, and meal preparation techniques Familiarity with restaurant or catering settings is advantageous Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Join us as a cook and bring your culinary expertise to life!
