Line Cook

Job Overview Mira is looking for a line cook to join our team! Mira is a Mediterranean restaurant in the Elmwood Village. The menu highlights the cuisines of Italy, Spain, Greece and other countries that surround the Mediterranean Sea with a strong focus on house made pastas, charcoal grilled meats & vegetables. The ideal candidate has to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This position requires attention to detail, organizational skills and a sense of urgency. Being a part of the team at Mira is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn and work alongside other passionate hospitality professionals. Responsibilities Prepare food from prep list & be responsible for the items on your station Able to work dinner service 5 nights/week Capable of taking direction Execute service with efficiency & cleanliness Maintain a sense of urgency Qualifications Restaurant experience is required Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff Ability to think quickly and multi-task in a fast-paced, ever changing environment Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Assisting to execute dinners for private events At Mira, we hope to curate an exciting and unique experience for guests.
