Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and dish execution. Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items and utensils. Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food handling, sanitation procedures, and allergen awareness. Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while adhering to safety and quality standards. Serve dishes promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction through attentive service. Requirements Proven experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, with a focus on kitchen operations. Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques. Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food presentation.
