Full Job Description Overview:
We are a family-owned and operated diner seeking a reliable and enthusiastic line cook to join our kitchen team. As a line cook, you'll play an essential role in preparing and cooking high-quality meals, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and helping create a welcoming dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to diner standards. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cooking line, prep areas, and storage. Assist with inventory, prep work, and restocking as needed. Communicate effectively with servers and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate orders. Support the team during busy shifts and adapt to changing needs.
Qualifications:
Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred but not required (we are willing to train the right candidate). Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs. Flexible availability for mornings, weekends, and holidays.
