Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Assist with food preparation, including slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, mixers, and other appliances Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to ensure food safety standards are met Follow food handling procedures diligently to prevent contamination and ensure quality control Support meal preparation for various service periods, including catering events if applicable Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks smoothly and ensure timely service Experience Previous experience in a food service environment, such as a restaurant or catering setting, is highly preferred Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production Demonstrated ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to menu planning guidelines Skilled in using kitchen tools and equipment with precision and safety awareness Experience with food industry best practices related to food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness Excellent communication skills for collaborating effectively with team members and kitchen staff Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a real impact!
