Job Description
Job Summary We are the area's only fully vegan cafe and bakery. We are looking to add a new staff member to our kitchen team, someone who can predictably do prep and clean when the line is slow. Someone who will be cheerful and positive with a real passion for food and quality. Whether you're slicing fresh ingredients, cooking with precision, or assisting with menu planning, your energy and enthusiasm will contribute to a lively kitchen environment that values teamwork and excellence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your culinary expertise while ensuring every plate served meets our high standards. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, slicers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking areas in compliance with food safety standards Assist in food preparation tasks such as slicing, dicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients Support meal assembly during busy service times to ensure timely delivery of orders Follow strict food handling procedures to uphold safety standards in production and storage Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow during service shifts Experience Previous food service experience in a restaurant or catering environment is highly preferred Demonstrated culinary experience with strong knife skills and slicing techniques Familiarity with food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes Knowledge of operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus but not required Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members Join us to bring your culinary talents to life in a fast-paced, energetic setting where your skills make a real impact!
