Agri-Business Child Development
COOK ABCD
has provided services to migrant, seasonal, and local farm workers children as well as other urban and rural low-income families since 1946. As a non-profit provider of comprehensive child development services for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, the agency serves on average over 1,200 children in nineteen rural New York State counties.

General role:
Under the guidance of the Health/Nutrition Coordinator is responsible for operating a USDA Food Program (the Child and Adult Care Food program, or CACFP) and meal preparation. Education /
Experience Requirements :
Preferred:
Food Handler s/Management Certificate (if not, must complete within 1 month of hire); Accepted High School Diploma or GED one-year experience cooking in quantity. Prior experience in meal preparation and planning for a large group. Must be 18 years of age. Valid driver s license. Ability to follow directions accept supervision and function as a team member with all center staff. Must meet all current child care employee regulations-background checks, training and educational requirements, physical exams. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
