Position Overview Birdhouse Brewing Company is seeking a Cook / Kitchen Team Member to join our kitchen staff and work alongside our Head Chef, Dylan. We're looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. This role includes food preparation, line cooking, maintaining cleanliness standards, and supporting kitchen operations during regular service and special events. Whether you have kitchen experience or are looking to grow your skills in a professional kitchen, we'd like to hear from you. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Assist with food preparation, portioning, and plating Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines Assist with receiving, stocking, and rotating inventory Support kitchen operations during busy service periods and special events Work efficiently as part of a team to ensure timely food service Assist with kitchen cleaning and closing duties Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events Reliable transportation to and from work Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation practices, or willingness to learn Ability to communicate and work effectively with team members Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Full-time opportunity available Work in a fun, team-oriented environment with live music, events, and a strong community atmosphere If you're looking for a kitchen position where you can develop your skills, work with a great team, and be part of one of the Finger Lakes' most active brewery destinations, we'd love to hear from you.
