Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Dietary Cooks to join our team, providing essential support within our dietary department. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of residents by ensuring nutritious, safe, and appealing meals are served efficiently. The position includes a weekly bonus structure, recognizing your commitment and hard work. Cook Pay includes additional $2/hour bonus for all hours worked. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, adhering to proper food handling procedures. Support food production activities, including portioning, plating, and presentation of meals. Ensure timely delivery of meals to residents or patients while respecting their individual dietary needs and preferences. Assist with cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold sanitation standards. Help with bussing tables and maintaining a tidy dining environment for residents and staff. Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and infection control practices. Requirements Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable, but training is offered. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures. Experience in food preparation, serving, and general kitchen operations. Strong time management skills to handle meal schedules efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude towards residents or patients. Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic understanding of dietary restrictions and dietetics principles is preferred but not mandatory.
