Job Description
Overview We are looking for a motivated Pantry Worker / Prep Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be essential in supporting daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, assisting and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on culinary experience and developing their skills in food preparation, food safety, and kitchen procedures. CALL Chef Oscar 516-314-0332 or Brendan 631-965-7323 Responsibilities Assist in food preparation by opening clams, chopping, slicing, and organizing ingredients according to established recipes . Support staff by plating food to ensure timely service during busy periods. Maintain cleanliness of the pantry and prep areas, including proper storage of ingredients and adherence to food safety protocols. Help with basic cooking tasks such as, assembling salads, or preparing simple dishes & desserts Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices. Experience Previous experience is a plus but not required. Experience working in food service environments such as restaurants or catering is advantageous. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper knife skills are important for this role. Willingness to learn new skills & deliver quality meals in a welcoming environment!
