Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook to join our childcare center. The ideal candidate will have experience and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, contributing to menu planning, and be responsible for pantry inventory. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Create monthly menu, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout the kitchen. Utilize efficiency and safety. Time management plays a vital role in this position. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and order as needed. Responsible for inventory of pantry and supplies. Order food from supplier. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred. Familiarity with working in a school a plus. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Experience as a Dietary Aide is advantageous but not required. Food handler certification required. Join our team and contribute to providing our children with healthy meals.
