Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves collaborating with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service and exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Duties Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices. Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring all work areas are sanitized. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, and grills. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing ones. Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements as needed. Help with catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality standards. Skills Strong food preparation skills with attention to detail in presentation and taste. Experience in catering or food service is preferred but not required. Knowledge of menu planning and dietary needs is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks. Proficiency in using kitchen tools, especially knives, safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and management effectively. A proactive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen and contributing to a positive work atmosphere.
