Job Description

Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to excellence in fine dining. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and leading a team of culinary professionals. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and development, focusing on seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation. Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, food handling, and compliance with food safety regulations. Oversee food production processes to maintain quality and consistency across all dishes served. Collaborate with the catering team for special events and banquets, ensuring timely service and exceptional guest experiences. Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimize waste while maximizing efficiency. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety standards. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and professional growth among staff members. Requirements Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry. Strong culinary skills with experience in fine dining establishments preferred. Background in banquet service or catering is highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and shift supervision. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Proficiency in menu planning, food production techniques, and kitchen management practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team. Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred but not mandatory; passion for cooking is essential.
