Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking areas to meet food safety standards Assist in meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours Follow food handling procedures meticulously to prevent contamination and ensure freshness Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate orders and maintain smooth workflow Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related food industry role; restaurant or catering experience preferred Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and proper food handling practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen team members Prior dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
