Lead Line Cook - Sauté / Grill Plandome Country Club |
Plandome, New York Pay:
$22-$25 per hour, based on experience
Schedule:
11:00 AM-9:00 PM | 5-6 days per week Plandome Country Club is seeking an experienced Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team. We are looking for a strong, dependable cook with solid sauté and grill experience who is comfortable working in a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen. The ideal candidate understands proper cooking technique, organization, timing and consistency and can confidently take ownership of a busy station. Pizza experience is highly welcomed and would be a strong addition to the candidate's background. Responsibilities Set up, operate and maintain a high-volume sauté and/or grill station Execute menu items consistently according to established recipes and standards Properly cook and handle steaks, seafood, poultry, sauces, pastas and other à la carte items Maintain strong ticket awareness, timing and communication during busy services Complete daily mise en place and station preparation Maintain proper product rotation, labeling, storage and organization Assist with daily prep and production Communicate effectively with chefs and fellow line cooks Maintain a clean, organized and properly stocked station Follow all food safety and sanitation standards Assist with special events, banquets and club functions as needed Help maintain consistency and standards across the line during service Qualifications Strong sauté and grill experience required Previous high-volume restaurant, hotel or private club experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of proteins, sauces, pasta cookery and proper cooking temperatures Ability to work cleanly and efficiently under pressure Strong knife skills and mise en place organization Ability to communicate and work as part of a professional culinary team Pizza experience is highly welcomed Dependable attendance and professional attitude Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Compensation & Schedule $22-$25 per hour , based on experience Typical shift: 11:00 AM-9:00 PM 5-6 days per week , depending on club operations and business levels Full-time position This position is best suited for an experienced cook looking for steady hours, strong weekly earning potential and the opportunity to become a key member of an established culinary team.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
